Welsh Water Away Day

Anna Ellam

Central Group has been invited to attend a Waste Water Away Day and Conference, which has been organised by Welsh Water, the sixth largest of the ten regulated water and sewerage companies in England and Wales.

The event provides the perfect opportunity for Central to showcase its products and services to members of the Welsh Water team, with all supervisors and catchment managers in attendance during the two-day event.

Central has been working with Welsh Water, as a partner to ABB, for the past three years, providing all drive repair and service requirements at pumping stations throughout the North of the country.    In recent months it has also been appointed to the low voltage framework involving the repair, service and supply of equipment.

The event, which is taking place on 15th and 16th September, will include an exhibition room where Central, alongside other Welsh Water suppliers, will have the opportunity to meet with members of the Welsh Water team face to face and showcase its complete range of services including its fully fitted and equipped workshop; its dedicated site services team which operates on a 24/7, 365 basis; and project management service from design through to commission, as well as Central’s recently launched Energy division which can help pinpoint potential cost savings for any business.

Welsh Water provides over 3million people with clean drinking water every day, taken from 92 reservoirs, via 27,000 km of pipes*, served by pumping stations throughout the length of the country, all of which require regular maintenance and repair.

Central works closely with the team from Welsh Water to ensure all drives in pumping stations in the northern half of the country are maintained and running smoothly, using a combination of services including site diagnosis and repair, in-house repairs and the retrofit of new drives in existing control systems; all of which ensure to ensure the water keeps on flowing to the people of Wales.
